Also please make sure we capture all new members emails so I can add them to the list. If you are on the list and want to be removed let me know.

Coming Up this week:
Tuesday: The Tuesday Night DSTAR Net will be held at 7PM on the W5AW-C Module.
Wednesday: The Permian Basin ARES net will be held on Wednesday Night at 9 PM on the West Texas Connection.
Thursday: The Howard County Traffic Net will be held on Thursday night at 8 PM on the 146.820 repeater. Daren W5DTB will be assuming the Net Control for May. Matthew W5KER will be net control in June.
There are many other nets that the DSTAR repeater links to throughout the week, so please check out the W5AW website www.qsl.net/w5aw and follow the Nets and Repeaters link for all nets and frequencies.
Remember that Dstar and local nets are open to all licensed amateur operators.
Please check out the attachment to this message. It is an Excel Spreadsheet that contains a list of Permian basin repeaters that has been recently updated. Please let us know if you find any errors.

day New rules will allow us to operate remotely, make 1H contacts count, and combine logs to send to the ARRL all under the W5AW club call sign. See more information above in the links for the ARRL regarding temporary rules.

Key City Amateur Radio Club conducts Technician Class
The Key City ARC, Abilene, Texas will conduct a Technician Class starting Saturday March 3, 2018. Classes will be held at the Abilene Regional Hospital, Women Center starting at 8 a.m. Classes will run approximately 8 weeks on Saturday mornings. Contact Mike Roach 325-280-5174 or KF5ZQB@arrl.net
Nolan County Amateur Radio Association Conducts Technician Class
The Nolan County Amateur Radio Association, Sweetwater, Texas will be presenting a Technician Class starting February 13, 2018. The classes will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m at the Nolan County Health Department on the corner of 12th Street and Elm Street . The training will last four weeks. Testing will be done the following Tuesday evening.

Pecos County Amateur Radio Club New Clubhouse and Tower
Pecos County ARC Club President and Pecos County EC Benny Walker, KB5JXO announces that the new clubhouse and tower are now available for use. This facility will also be used as an ARES Operations Center when needed.
The clubhouse contains a Radio Room and a Meeting room . Outside is a 40 foot Tower.
