Critical to Extreme Fire Weather Today

The TEXAS Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) State Operations Center has activated in response to current wildfires and the threat of wildfires in West Texas from the Texas – Oklahoma state line to the Texas – Mexico Border.

Currently, Amateur Radio Support has not been requested.

Dry fuels along with strong winds and very low humidity will yield critical to extreme fire weather conditions for portions of the region today. Of particular concern are the central and southern Permian Basin as well as Southwest Texas.
