Green Country Hamfest

Don’t be stuck at home this weekend!

Hitch up your wagons and ride the Mother Road to Claremore,
Oklahoma, home of the famous humorist Will Rogers, for the annual Green
Country Hamfest, Friday, April 7 and Saturday, April 8.

There is no better place this weekend to get your kicks enjoying
Amateur Radio than by following Route 66 to the Claremore Expo Center.
Multiple vendors — Associated Radio, The CoaxMan, ABR Industries, D&L
Antenna Supply, The Derby Radio Shack, Tennadyne Antennas, Cubix Quads,
BridgeCom Systems, DX Engineering, MFJ, Alpha Antennas, and Mastrant
Antenna Guying Equipment — all are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to
trade Amateur Radio joy for the depreciating dollars in your pocket.
Come early and help the good folks help you go home happy!

If Mother Luck rides with you, one of the Hamfest prizes could follow
you home — a Yaesu FTDX10, a Yaesu FT991A, a Yaesu FT891, a Yaesu
FTM300DR, or a Yaesu FT4XR.

If you really feel lucky (well, do ya’?), put down a Jackson for one
of only 200 $20 tickets for the drawing that will send a hot hand home
with a Yaesu FT710-AESS! These tickets are ONLY available at the
Hamfest. Be early or miss out.

Famous people are rumored to attend, such as the Oklahoma Section
Manager Mark Kleine and Oklahoma Section Emergency Coordinator Mark
Conklin (one must wonder if their parents coordinated the naming of
these two).

Rumors that the Hamfest announcer Mark Conklin intends to perform the
famous Claremore native Pattie Page’s hit song “The Tennessee Waltz”
are not yet verified.

Green Country is a great hamfest — don’t miss it!
