It was great seeing several of you folks at the Midland Hamfest this past Saturday.  A good time was had by all!  Congrats to George, KG5KUQ on winning the Elecraft K4 radio!  

Our Thursday’s Zoom meeting we have the honor of having Jo Ann Keith KA5AZK, with us again to discuss the 7290 Net Operations and Procedures.  Yes, I know many of us have learned about traffic handling and filling out Radiograms before, but I for one, have forgotten much of what I have learned over the years because I don’t frequently use the information.  Refresher discussions are always good.  Jo Ann has a wealth of knowledge and her presentation style makes her a joy to listen to.

We will also have Lew do our regular Winlink Tuesday Report and Whit’s Trivia Question.  This week the Trivia Question is:  What we would now recognize as a ham station believed to be the first station to broadcast to the general public. Operation was “Every evening, 6-10 PM, EST except Sundays and holidays” broadcasting on 2,000Kc or 149m at 250W and 2,900Kc or 103.4m at 5000 watts. What was this long dead mode and what was the station’s  callsign? 

I will have a few announcements regarding what I learn from tonight’s Section Manager’s Zoom Meeting with the ARRL HQ staff.  I’m hoping for information on the Club Grant Program, but don’t hold your breath.  The ARRL Foundation who is developing the grant criteria is being unusually slow…
